Android Developer Intern

HawksCode is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Android Developer Intern to support the development and enhancement of scalable Android applications.

This role involves working on real-time mobile projects, integrating backend services, improving performance, and ensuring seamless user experience across Android devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing Android applications using Kotlin or Java
  
• Implement UI components based on design specifications (Figma/XD)
  
• Integrate REST APIs and backend services
  
• Debug issues and improve app performance
  
• Conduct basic testing and ensure application stability
  
• Optimize applications for speed and scalability
  
• Participate in sprint planning and agile workflows
  
• Maintain proper documentation and version control (Git)
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  
• Basic knowledge of Kotlin or Java
  
• Understanding of Android SDK and Android Studio
  
• Familiarity with activity/fragment lifecycle
  
• Basic understanding of API integration and JSON handling
  
• Knowledge of Git version control
  

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience building academic or personal Android projects
  
• Familiarity with Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Push Notifications)
  
• Understanding of MVVM architecture
  
• Basic knowledge of performance optimization techniques
