GitHub is a code repository company which is popular because of many software developers. It has been acquired by Microsoft. According to Gadgets 360, a person has said GitHub is chosen Microsoft partially because of impressed by CEO Satya Nadella and it preferred selling the company to going public. The last value of GitHub in 2015 is $2 billion (Rs. 13,400 crores).
This agreement helps GitHub to make their service popular by allows coders to collaborate and share their work. It will also help Microsoft to writes its own software by relying on open-source software.
GitHub is an essential tool for coders. Many big corporations like Alphabet’s Google, Microsoft are using GitHub to store and collaborate their code. For developers, GitHub is a social network. In 2016 nine months of that year, GitHub had a revenue of $98 million (Rs. 656 crores) because it lost $66 million over three quarters.
Microsoft’s acquisition of GitHub marks a significant milestone in the tech industry.
